Note : There is a scarcity of documents in the Greek Language concerning the history of Corfu during the late Middle Ages, when the island was under the Angevin and Venetian domination. Three notarial documents of this kind, from the private collection of Mr J. D. Collas, are published here. The firstone (1398) deals with the division of the property of a dead "paroikos", while the other two (1420 and 1458) were written to legalise the selling of some vineyards to the monastery of St. Georgios Ipsilos. On the occasion of the publication of these documents the author deals with the subject of the function of the notaries, Greek and Italian, in Corfu during the late Middle Ages. A commentary of the documents and a list of the notaries of Corfu (1274-1473) completes the study.
